James Rance

James Rance is a poet, collage artist, and performer based in York, North Yorkshire. His poetry takes inspiration from Pagan spirituality and dreams, delving into previously unexplored aspects of the self for examination and analysis. Influenced by surrealism, imagism, psychedelia, and the slightly absurd, his work aims to give the reader strange sensations and vivid emotion. His collages have been used as cover art for several Acid Bath Publishing books and he frequently performs his poetry at events hosted by Forge Zine and York Howlers open mic poetry nights. His previous work has been published by Valley Press and York Centre for Writing, Greenteeth Press, Pilot Press, and elsewhere.
